About the property

The snug has two double bedrooms both with King sized beds. We use hotel quality linen and Pillows on the beds to provide you with a luxurious feel. There is plenty of space for hanging your clothing, and hairdryers are provided for your convenience in each bedroom.

There is one bathroom which has a shower over a generous sized bath. We provide complimentary toiletries, and luxuries soft towels for your use.

Down stairs there is a cosy living room with two, two seater sofas and a log burner, if required during the colder months. The cottage is heated by gas central heating so you should never be cold. The room contains a smart TV with a free view box, you can also log into Netflix and other media platforms. There are board games & books in the sideboard along with some up to date leaflets on local attractions.

The kitchen- dinner is well equipped and has a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven and grill. We have also provided a tea towel, dishwasher and Washing tablets. Outside is a small seating area with a BBQ, which is part covered so you have some shade in the summer months or cover if the weather isn't being to kind.

If your bringing bikes these can be stored securely in the rear decking area. If your furry friends are having a break with you too, we provide bowls, blanket and a towel for wiping off any mud or water.

The whole of the property is yours to enjoy.

Getting around

There is usually plenty of parking in Market square but if this is full there is on street parking close by.

You can easily walk around the village and grab a drink a bit to eat or browse the local shops, there are some great short walks that you can take and these are great if you need to exercise your dog before the end of the day or early in the morning.

There are a few businesses in the area that you can rent bikes from, we have left some leaflets in the cottage with contact details on.

Its only about a 15 minute drive to Bakewell or Buxton Or you can catch the bus which stops by Fountain square which is near to the Horse & Jockey pub.

The local bus services runs to Buxton which has a main train station and makes travel to and from major towns and cities very easy.

Neighbourhood

Tideswell Is a large village nestled in the heart of the Peak district.

The church of St John the Baptist which is in the centre and sits at the rear of the Snug is known as the cathedral of the peaks and is well worth a visit.

The village is a fantastic base to stay, not only is it in the Peak district National Park but its also close to so many attractions, walks and other towns and villages such as Bakewell & Buxton.

The village has a great selection of shops, Pubs , cafes, restaurants and takeaways. and is surrounded by some of the most beautiful limestone uplands in the area.
